சார் அது கண்ணாடி!

இந்தக் காமெடியை எல்லோருமே ரசித்திருப்போம்.. ஆனால் உண்மையில் கண்ணாடியில் நம்மை நாமே பார்ப்பது காமெடி இல்லை.. அதுதான் நிஜம்.. நம்மை சரியாக உணர்த்துவது, காட்டுவது கண்ணாடி மட்டுமே.. நீ இப்படித்தான் இருக்கிறாய் என்று முகத்தில் அடித்தாற் போல சொல்வதுதான் கண்ணாடியின் இயல்பு.

நம்முடைய அழகையும் சரி, நம்முடைய இயல்பையும் சரி உள்ளது உள்ளபடியே வெளிப்படுத்துவது கண்ணாடி மட்டுமே.. இதைத்தான் இந்த அழகான கவிதையில் சூப்பராக சொல்லியுள்ளார் நம்முடைய கவிதாயினி ராதிகா.

A Conversation With Mirror

Mirror, mirror, on the wall,

You have seen me through all,

From a little girl with big dreams,

To an aging woman with grace and gleam.  

When I was a tiny little tot,

I never gave you much thought. 

When my mom lifted me to you,

I just thought you were someone new. 

In my teens, I must confess,

I put you through a lot of stress. 

Blamed you for not showing me, 

Fair and lovely as I wished to be. 

Now that I’ve grown, I’ve understood, 

You’ve shown me the best you could. 

Now I love myself as I am, my dear…

Thanks for bearing with me all these years.
