An Empty Wallet..

My wallet sits so light today,

The notes and coins have gone away.

I open it and take a look,

It feels as empty as a book.

No money hides in any fold,

No silver shine, no touch of gold.

It whispers softly, "Save some more,"

Instead of spending like before.

Though my wallet may be bare,

Dreams and hopes are still in there.

For hard work brings a brighter day,

And empty wallets don't always stay.

So I'll smile and carry on,

Knowing better days will come.

A wallet empty, that is true,

But full of plans and dreams a new
