ஒவ்வொரு காலகட்டத்திலும் பெண்கள் மாற்றத்தை சந்தித்துக் கொண்டேதான் வருகிறார்கள். எது மாறினாலும் அவர்களை சமூகம் மாற விடுவதில்லை.. சிறுமியாக இருப்பது முதல் மூதாட்டியாக மாறும் வரை பெண்களை இந்த சமூகம் பெண்களாக மட்டுமே பார்க்கிறது. அதுகுறித்து புன்னகைப் பேரரசி ஜி. சரளா எழுதியுள்ள ஒரு கவிதை.

It changed my life

I conceded my age

That changed my inborn qualities at each stage 

From child, girl & now woman being a vital page

 And filed to erase my childish errors to encourage

 My duty is to use a whitener as a love bondage

 Rather being ideally strange

 Adopting laziness & quarantined in cage

 Masked myself with faith & courage

 And kept moving without being raged

 Though my services earned zero wage

 I realised it to be a mirage.

Yes! The transition in my life is the factorage 

That changed my life without strife bearing fruitage.
