கற்க, விளையாட.. கனவு காணவும் உரிமை உண்டு.. Children’s Rights!

பெரியதோ சிறியதோ, குழந்தைகளுக்கு உரிமைகள் உண்டு, கற்பதற்கும், விளையாடுவதற்கும், கனவு காண்பதற்கும் — அவை அனைத்திற்கும் அவர்கள் தகுதியானவர்கள். இதை வலியுறுத்தி அழகிய கவிதையை சமைத்துள்ளார் செங்கல்பட்டு ஜெயந்தி.

Children have rights, both big and small,

To learn, to play, to dream — they deserve it all.

In studies they must learn on their own,

With books as friends, their minds are grown.

Evenings are for games, with laughter bright,

Running and playing till the stars give light.

Mobiles can wait — let books take the lead,

Stories and knowledge are what children need.

In every family, give them care,

Listen to them, show you're there.

Ask their opinions, hear their voice,

Respect their thoughts, give them choice.

Little kids must play and watch cartoons too,

That joy and fun help them grow true.

After playtime, homework starts,

Learning with smiles and happy hearts.

Take them along everywhere you go,

Let them see the world, let them learn and grow.

To learn happily, freely, every day 

This is every child’s right, in every way
