Choose Your Table
Don’t sit at a table
Where whispers grow,
Where seeds of gossip
Quietly flow.
Today they speak
Of someone’s name,
Tomorrow yours
Will join the same.
Words are arrows
Soft yet deep,
They wound the heart
They make souls weep.
Choose a place
Where kindness stays,
Where truth is light
In all its ways.
Sit with hearts
That build, not break,
If talk is poison
Calmly rise,
Walk away
Be truly wise.
For character shines
When silence speaks,
And dignity
Is what strength seeks.
