Workers’ Day – A Note of Gratitude.. தொழிலாளர்களின் அர்ப்பணிப்பும் உழைப்பின் மதிப்பும்!

“Workers’ Day – A Note of Gratitude” என்ற இந்தக் கவிதை, தொழிலாளர்களின் அர்ப்பணிப்பையும் உழைப்பின் மதிப்பையும் உணர்த்துகிறது. 

நாம் தினசரி அனுபவிக்கும் சுகவாழ்க்கையின் பின்னால் இருக்கும் அவர்களின் கடின உழைப்பை நினைவூட்டுகிறது. உணவு, உடை போன்ற அடிப்படை தேவைகள் அனைத்தும் தொழிலாளர்களின் உழைப்பால் கிடைப்பவை என்பதையும் இந்தக் கவிதை வெளிப்படுத்துகிறது. 

தொழிலாளர்களுக்கு நன்றி கூறி, அவர்களை மதிக்க வேண்டும் என்ற செய்தியை இந்தக் கவிதை அழகாக வழங்குகிறது. மே 1ஆம் தேதி நாம் தொழிலாளர் தினமாகக் கொண்டாடுகிறோம்.

Why do we mark this special day?

To thank the hands that shape our way.

On May the first, we pause and see,

The strength behind our luxury.

We live our lives in joy and ease,

With food, with comfort, daily peace.

But many toil from dawn to night,

To make our world feel warm and right.

The food we eat, so rich and good,

Comes from someone’s hard-earned sweat and wood.

Yet rarely do we stop and think,

Of every hidden, working link.

The clothes we wear, so neat and fine,

Begin as cotton on a vine.

From fields to mills, through skill and thread,

By workers’ hands, our lives are fed.

Whatever we need, both big and small,

Is built by workers, one and all.

So let us thank them, loud and clear,

With grateful hearts, sincere each year.
