வீழ்ந்த மரத்தின் கதை.. An autobiography of a fallen tree
விதையாக புதைக்கப்படுகிறோம்.. அப்படியே மண்ணோடு மண்ணாக மூழ்கிப் போய் விடாமல் முளைத்து எழுகிறோம்.. விளைச்சல் தருகிறோம்.. வாழ்வதற்கு ஆதராரமாக அமைகிறோம்.. இறுதியில் மீண்டும் மண்ணுக்கேத் திரும்புகிறோம்.
ஒரு வெட்டி வீழ்த்தப்பட்ட மரத்தின் கதை இது.. அதை கவிதையாக படைத்திருக்கிறார் ஜி. சரளா.
As a sapling we were planted beside
The hospital for his fame with pride
The minister for inauguaral ceremony
Just a sugary testimony
We were fifty to be rowed
Guided by security to be bowed
As he timely quenched water
And fed with organic supporter
The hospital grew old
And with roots we were hold
Proud to create shade and kids to swing
And play a vital role oxygenating
One-day the security passed away
With respect made a sad sway
His dear & near morned as "tree slanted"
Now the minister here bedded
But only his clergy men mourned his soul
As deserting money was his goal
A hard strom knocked us
As few of us fell into minus
Here begins my post fallen story
To be sung in glory
Converted as fuel for needy I feel elated
Shaped as furniture feel proud
Processed for construction feel satisfied
Modified in school & as stationary feel enriched
Transformed into musical instruments feel rhythmatically pleasant
Gratitude for my pencil & paper
Helping me to write this poem so.
