மென்மையாக இருந்தாலும் சற்றே பலமாக.. soft yet strong
அதிகாலை வெளிச்சத்தைப் போல மென்மையாகவும், பேசும் சொற்களில் அன்பும் கருணையும் கொண்டிருக்க வேண்டும். காயப்பட்ட மனங்களுக்கு மழையைப் போன்ற ஆறுதலாக இருப்பது அவசியம்.
அதே சமயம், இருளை விரட்டும் சூரியனைப் போல உறுதியாக இருக்க வேண்டும். நமது கொள்கைகளில் பிடிப்புடனும், துன்பங்கள் வரும்போது புயலில் அசையாத மரத்தைப் போலவும் நிற்க வேண்டும்.
இதை வைத்து ஆசிரியர் வே. ஜெயந்தி எழுதியுள்ள அழகிய கவிதை:
Soft Yet Strong
Be soft like the morning light,
That touches the world so gently;
Yet be strong like the rising sun
That defeats the dark so silently.
Be soft in the words you speak,
Let kindness be your art;
Yet be strong in what you believe,
With courage in your heart.
Be soft with wounded souls,
Like rain on thirsty ground;
Yet be strong when storms arise,
Stand firm and faith-bound.
Calm like the silent moon,
Bold like the blazing flame;
For petals bloom in softness,
But roots grow deep and long;
The rarest souls upon this earth
Are both tender… and Strong
