கடவுள் என்பவர் அனைத்தையும் கொடுப்பவர் மட்டுமல்ல; நம்மிடம் எதுவுமே இல்லாத நிலையிலும், பிறருக்குக் கொடுக்கும் குணத்தையும் தளராத நம்பிக்கையையும் நமக்குள் விதைப்பவரே உண்மையான கடவுள்.

இதை வைத்து நமது சகோதரி அமலா தீட்டியுள்ள அழகான ஒரு குட்டிக் கதை.

On a mud floor in the remote part of the village sat five boys dressed in rags. There was only one small role in front of them. There was only a very small amount of porridge mixed with rice.

Mari was the eldest member of the group. For others it was just food, but for Mari it was God's offering that day.

After waiting for a long time, she had brought the meagre food she had found in a dharamsala for her brother and sister.

"Sister, I'm so hungry..." A boy asked in a crying voice.

Mari laughed softly. Even though her stomach was clinging to hunger, there was a calmness in her eyes. "Don't cry, look here. We're all going to eat together today. This is what God gave us."

When she put her hand on the bowl, the other boys also held out their hands eagerly. There is no fighting, there is no competition to overtake each other. They carefully shared the small amount of food they received.

One of the boys asked Mari, "Didi, why are we getting so little rice? Won't God give us much?"

Mari looked up at the sky. Then she said kindly:

"God didn't give us a plate full of rice. But he has given us the love to share this little rice without fighting, and the heart to laugh at each other even when we are hungry. That's a big deal, isn't it?

Look, even if this vessel is empty, our love will not diminish. Our Creator will show us a way tomorrow."

The certainty of her words calmed the other boys as well. They tasted and ate every pulp. To those who see from the outside, they may have looked poor. But the sharing they showed as they sat around the cup and their unwavering belief that "God will take care of tomorrow" made them the richest people in the world.

The Truth of the Story:

God is not only the giver of all things; The true God is the one who instills in us the virtue of sharing and unyielding faith in us even when there is nothing.
